When You Fear / When You are Burdened

Jesus Christ is not burdened down with your cares. He thrives on burden-bearing, not burden-giving.

He loves to work “for those who wait for him” (Isaiah 64:4).

He “takes pleasure . . . in those who hope in his steadfast love” (Psalm 147:11).

His eyes “run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward him” (2 Chronicles 16:9).

Some days we wake up and the cares of the world weigh heavy like a morning fog. We stumble to gain strength. We carry things from yesterday on our hearts. We push into the morning with a list of things to do and wonder how in the world will “I get it all done.”

In Genesis 28:15 I grab onto what God is telling Jacob, and the verses tell him that the Lord is with him, keeping him, and that He’ll not leave Jacob. Now God is faithful, He keeps me and you too, and is with us! He never leaves or forsakes us.

What a comfort those verses bring to my heart, and the peace that comes from believing in Him helps me to trust and know that whatever today brings, that I can wait for the Lord with patience. I can hope in Him. I can receive strong support as His redeemed!

Are you getting ready to meet the day? Pause and ponder and digest what the Lord says to us. If you’re going through things, and need understanding, guidance or clarity; trust in the Lord and do good. Read His words to us in the Bible.

And Keep walking your journey of faith. Persevere with a confidence of the beautiful favor of the Lord upon you. He is not leaving you alone in this chapter of your life.

This life on earth can come with trouble, but you can lean on scripture, which is God speaking to you. You can lean on God, and give Him glory in your choices, attitude, and in your service to Him.

Isaiah 41: 8-10

“But you, Israel, my servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, the offspring of Abraham, my friend; you whom I took from the ends of the earth, and called from its farthest corners, saying to you, “You are my servant, I have chosen you and not cast you off”; fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Be “upheld” in knowing you belong to God. Know you are chosen. Know that He will not cast you off. Fear not. Do not be dismayed. He gives the strength you need for the moment, this very second, this minute. His righteous right hand upholds you. He is your help. He is your God. He died for you!! To give you life!!

And it you have life in Him … you have every thing! For you have HIM!
